Eight out of ten women experience symptoms such as hot flashes or night sweats during menopause. For around one third, these symptoms are so severe that they significantly affect quality of life as well as performance at work and in everyday life. Yet menopause is still not talked about enough – and many women are left to cope with their symptoms on their own. In this session, gynecologist Claudia Sievers explains what is really happening in the body during menopause, why symptoms such as brain fog, sleep disturbances, or mood swings are often misunderstood – and how a deeper understanding can help reduce uncertainty and feelings of helplessness. Beyond medical insights, the session also explores an important question: What can women do themselves to actively navigate this phase and emerge from it feeling stronger? By the way: Men are very welcome to join as well. Because understanding menopause – whether as a partner, colleague, or within a personal context – allows for better support and a more sensitive approach to the topic. A session for anyone who wants to see menopause not as a deficit, but as a transition into a new phase of life.
